My story
Darko Petrović · Darkan · Serial Marketer. CMO. Head of Marketing
The short version is on the homepage. This is how I work, what I've learned in the trenches, and what I'm looking for next.
I'm Darko, known in Web3 as Darkan. For the last seven years, Web3 has been my day to day.
I've worked across 50+ projects and millions in managed marketing spend, helping teams promote products, grow communities, acquire users, and launch their tokens with all pre-TGE and post-TGE marketing with projects in many different verticals.
A lot of my experience came from being close to the actual work. I'm not a complainer; I get my hands dirty. Launches, KOL campaigns, GTM plans, community pushes, partnerships, paid campaigns, user acquisition, positioning, and the messy parts that usually happen between strategy and execution.
I've seen marketing budgets spent well, and I've seen money disappear into things that sounded good on paper but did nothing in the market. I'm not here to sell theory. After enough projects, you start to understand what is worth pushing, what needs to be fixed, and what should be killed early.
I've seen the agency model from the inside too. I know what clients pay, and what actually gets done. One full-stack marketer can outperform it on output, without the markup.
Founders usually come to me when they need someone who can take ownership of marketing without needing everything explained from zero: the product, the stage, the audience, and the speed at which Web3 moves. My work covers the full stack: strategy, positioning, community, content, KOLs, partnerships, user acquisition, launch planning, and execution.
The biggest advantage I bring is that I'm active in the space every day. I follow the trends, I understand the culture, and I've built a network across founders, KOLs, BDs, marketers, community operators, market makers, listing managers, and people who actually move things in Web3. If I don't know the right person directly, I usually know someone who can make the connection.
I don't try to make marketing look more complicated than it is. I care about what gets attention, what builds trust, what brings users in, and what helps a product get seen by the right people.
Currently, I serve as Main CMO at IBC, a leading Web3 incubator and accelerator. I've worked with some of the best people in Web3, and when needed, I can build a strong team around me from scratch.
I work best with founders, startups, and protocols that need a full-stack marketing operator. I'm open to CMO, Head of Marketing, and Senior Marketer roles where I can own outcomes end to end and the bar is high.
